The Harwinton Food Pantry has joined the United Way of
Northwest Connecticut’s Food For Your Neighbors program. According to
pantry volunteer Doreen O’Sullivan, they need a variety of personal care, paper
goods, and canned or dried items such as fruit, cereal, and jelly, but they have
plenty of soup. They also have a
refrigerator and freezer, and can accept fresh and/or frozen items. The pantry is located at the town hall by the
State Trooper’s office, and there’s a collection box in the town hall lobby.
It’s open every other Tuesday between 10:30 and Noon, and will be open on March
4 and March 18. For additional
information about the pantry, email harwintonfoodpantry@gmail.com.
