Actor and comedian Jamie Foxx is now starring in his greatest role ever -- as national spokesperson for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.

Foxx will represent the organization at national and local level events to help generate funding so tht more children can be served. According to Andy Fleischmann, President and CEO of Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters, a United Way of Northwest CT agency, more than 34,000 children across the United States are on a waiting list to be matched with a "Big".

Big Brothers Big Sisters carefully screens adult volunteers and matches them with youngsters who need safe, long-term mentoring. Many of the children come from single, low-income households. They might have a parent who is incarcerated or deployed in the military.
