The Register Citizen will once again conduct the Warm The Children winter outerwear drive. Those interested can register at FISH, Friendly Hands Food Bank, or the Salvation Army in Torrington or Winsted.
St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Torrington is also conducting a drive. Donations of coats or money can be delivered to the church at 837 Charles Street, Torrington, CT 06790 from Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Coats will be distributed to the Center Congregational Church in Torrington.
Also, the First Church of Winsted is collecting coats at Winsted Super Saver on Saturday, October 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Donations will be given to local homeless shelters and the Winsted Salvation Army.
